South Cebu: Badian, Canyoneering

Canyoneering in Badian Cebu is very popular in the Philippines not only for the locals but also for the foreigners. It is a kind of trekking that involves traveling down the creeks or streams by any means!  These things are what makes me more interested of it.. it is an adrenaline pumping for me!

Canyoneering is best and cheaper if you are in a large group. I made a booking with Highland Adventure which I truly enjoy and appreciate their company and effort. I highly recommend them to all those travelers who are looking for the best, knowledgeable and capable when it comes to this trip. The price varies depending on the number of persons you are in a group. For us, we paid 1100 each and we are a group of seven. It includes transfer from Brgy. Malabago to Kanla-ob River, transfer from kawasan falls back to Malabago using a motorcycle so you don't need to walk for 30 minutes,  Entrance Fee (Alegria) & Exit Fee (Badian), life vest & helmet, friendly and reliable tour guides with rappelling rope, first aid kit & Dry Bag, free bamboo rafting in kawasan falls for water massage (if 5 pax or more), free use of running shoes if size is available, free use of 1 action camera per group (if 5 pax or more) you just have to provide your own memory card and what I like best is the yummy free Lunch/dinner and cottage use in Kawasan Falls after canyoneering.

During the time we visited Badian, the long trail for Canyoneering was close due to some new ordinance issue, since we already booked the trip before the ordinance was reinforced the government made an alternative route just to accommodate those travelers who already booked and paid the trip.
It was not as exciting as the original trail but the fun is still there. And i guess thats the best trail for the beginners like us. As long as the cliff jumping is there, we are very much contented. 😉
